“Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Why do we go to therapists, spiritual advisors, counsellors and the likes? Is it so they can tell us what to do and where to go and how to be? Because that means I don’t have to think to much. I just do what they tell me and I’ll be ‘saved’ right?
Be that as it may, my clients tend not to think in this way. They want to be in control of their thoughts, actions, behaviours and spiritual growth (those who are spiritual).
At the same time my job is to support you on your journey to be your own person, to make your own discoveries. I help you experience and clarify your personal insights, and make your choices. That means you can be free from guilt, shame, fear and anxiety.
That is why, I place my professional and personal experiences and skills, as a priest, nurse and therapist at your disposal.
Although I use certain words like, Soul, Body, and Mind, we all have different interpretations and definitions of what they mean.
I am interested in what you think they are and how they impact on your life.
So, what is my experience?
Soul – As a seminary student and latterly a priest, I have over 35 years’ experience as a practitioner of different spiritual practices and religious systems.
Body – As a registered nurse I have over 25 years’ experience of caring and healing the bodies of many patients. Moreover, I have had the privilege of helping people face their ultimate fears, and sometimes death.
Mind – I have over 20 years of counselling experience, including different forms of hypnosis in clinical practice. I am a Certified Master Practitioner in NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is the perfect platform that unites my experience of professional practice in these three disciplines. Cognitive Hypnotherapy permits me to place them at your service.
You can have confidence in me as a truly holistic practitioner. I really look forward to discovering what Soul Searching means to you.
Your definitions will define how we work together.
